Dell Retires Iconic Product Lines for a Simpler Rebrand
After years of being confused with the Dell names, they finally came up with something that sticks with you and simpler to remember. Dell Technologies has officially announced the retirement of several of its most iconic product families, including Latitude, Precision, OptiPlex, and XPS.
What’s Changing?
Dell is introducing a streamlined naming structure that mirrors the simplicity of Apple’s iPhone lineup. Going forward, Dell’s laptops and desktops will fall under three clear tiers:
- Dell – Standard models for everyday business and personal use
- Dell Pro – Enhanced performance and features for professionals
- Dell Pro Max – High-end systems optimized for AI, data science, and advanced workloads
This new structure replaces:
- Latitude → Dell / Dell Pro
- Precision → Dell Pro Max
- OptiPlex → Dell / Dell Pro
- XPS → Discontinued, with features absorbed into Pro and Pro Max lines
