The Next Chapter at BEI

We have exciting news to share with you! Mike and Ellen Jennings, who have operated BEI for the past 17 years, have decided to transition ownership of the company to members of the current leadership team. John and Katherine Deming have acquired a majority ownership of BEI. Most of you already know John as the Director of Service, and Katherine as Director of Business Development. Both John and Katherine will remain in place in expanded roles, with John as President & CEO and Katherine as Senior Vice President. Jake Hovermale will remain as Chief Technology Officer, and Suki Hovermale as Director of Finance and Administration to round out the executive team and maintain continuity. This transition has positioned BEI to continue to offer unparalleled service and support.

While Mike and Ellen are stepping down from their day-to-day management, they share in the desire for the ongoing success of BEI and its clients. In that spirit, they will remain connected to the company in an advisory capacity for the next two years.

If you have met John, you are already aware that he is an energetic IT leader and is well-suited to his new role as President & CEO at BEI. John draws on his 25 years of experience in executing a unique ability to recruit, hire, and train highly skilled IT professionals and meld them into a cohesive team. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Catholic University and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years.

Katherine began her career as an IT Administrator and later developed an expertise in Cybersecurity, working for the FBI and Booz Allen.  She has a Master’s degree in Computer Forensics from The George Washington University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). In her new role as Senior Vice President, she will remain focused on Account Management, Client Satisfaction, and Business Development.

The BEI team has built its success on a culture of honesty, integrity, and excellent customer service. Rest assured that these principles will be maintained as BEI moves ahead. As John Deming often says: “Customer service is paramount in everything we do.”  The one thing you can count on going forward is the continuity of BEI as a trusted technology partner.
